When I was working on a post for earlier this week about striped rugs, I kept running into this tangerine color that I really love.
It was on the color on the lamp shades in the pretty dining room at right from BHG.
And it was the color of the striped rug on the far right from West Elm.
So I thought I’d look around a bit and see what else I could find in this refreshing color. I found more of it than I expected.
I found several examples of rooms with tangerine on the walls – although none that were as bold as this bedroom, which I found at MyHomeIdeas.com.
I would be hard me for to be quite that loud. The room below from Southern Living and MyHomeIdeas.com looks more like something I’d try – just a touch of tangerine in a room.
Here’s another approach – a dash of the color in an otherwise bold, very modern living room. I found this space at Better Homes and Gardens.
And you can also use a touch of tangerine in a room that isn’t quite so bold. In the BHG room below, I think the color really complements the wood, creating almost a tone-on-tone effect.
I admit, though, to liking the color on the windows, more than on the bed, which becomes a little too peachy for me.
So do you want to try a little tangerine in your home?
