I like the way a bold striped rug can really ground a room, especially one that is otherwise filled with neutrals.
I love the rug in the Southern Living room below (found at MyHomeIdeas.com) and can imagine so many different furnishings that would look fantastic with it. The colors are just great.
I also like the way the striped rug in the entryway below adds just a small punch of color into an area that is otherwise fairly pale and grey. Still, the weathered tone of the rug keeps the colors from becoming too much.
The space above is from Coastal Living and MyHomeIdeas.com.
But a great rug doesn’t have to be multi-colored. I saw this dining room at Better Homes and Gardens and fell in love with the green rug. It’s so refreshing.
