I think it’s cool to add something a little unusual or even kooky to your decor and that’s why I’m really attracted to the bunting that I saw at Knotted Nest on Etsy.
I think these fun, fabric pieces would look so fun in kids’ rooms or game rooms or anyplace you want to add a little bit of a festive feel.
Kristin is the artisan behind Knotted Nest. The Toronto native says she’s happiest “when I am sewing, collaging, or creating new products.”
“In no particular order, I love: maps, doilies, thread, sun soaked photographs, lace, paper, old ledgers, needle point, fabric, language, line drawings, paint samples, and finding new uses for old things,” she said on Etsy. “I also love love love making things. Whether it be fine art or objects for your home and body. Being creative is a huge part of who I am.”
You can see another bunting example in the top left corner of the collage at right.
This listing comes with three lengths of 11 flags and costs $21.
“Great for doorways, windows, or placed directly onto the wall,” Kristin says. “Use them for special occasions or to dress up the everyday.”
But Kristin doesn’t just make bunting.
At top right is a set of four fabric coasters for $12.
Lower left is a set of four black and white floral coaters, again for $12.
At right is a OOAK bag for $36.
The Knotted Nest has 21 items for sale and Kristin loves to do custom pieces. You can check out some of her 374 sold items for ideas and inspiration.
