It’s nice sometimes to change up a room’s look by changing the throw pillows, a vase or a piece of art here or there. It’s a great way to add a new accent color in a room.
It’s hard to do for under $30, but I’m confident with a little savvy shopping – and maybe some thrift store buys and spray paint – you can do it.
That’s why I’m including it on my list of 30 decor ideas in 30 days for under $30.
I have an example at right with items all from IKEA. For roughly $28, you get a couple pillows, a modern light, vase and magazine holders to give your bookshelves a pop.
Of course, for $30 you’re not getting an entire room full of new accessories. But as you can see above right, you can make a difference with a few key pieces.
Below you’ll find a couple more options. First up is this grey/silver collection that includes a pillow, throw (which I adore) and a couple of silver tone frames.
I think the above collection would look great in a room dominated by browns and taupe. It would give a real modern edge. Then you could add some additional pieces overtime.
I picture the collection below – again less than $30 total – used to liven up a woman’s office. I love the lanterns, which are on clearance at Pier1 and I think the frame would look great sitting on a desk.
I had really hoped to do this post by going to TJMaxx and grouping together several accessories and taking photos. But alas, the month – and my $30 series – has gotten away from me too soon.
But I’m confident you can go to your local TJMaxx and find some outstanding options. If you do, send me a photo!
