I love the idea of using a dresser or other piece of furniture as a bathroom vanity.
According to BHG, all you need is a dresser that fits in the available space and can accommodate the size and style of the sink you’ve chosen. You need the sink and faucet, tape, a pencil or marker and a jigsaw.

The photo above is another example from BHG. This one is great because it’s a dresser that already had an attached mirror. It’s perfect to use as a vanity.
In the HGTV example above, a small cabinet is painted, tiled and turned into a funky vanity for a black and white bathroom.
The bathroom above uses an antique chest as the vanity in a contemporary bathroom. It’s from Cooking Light magazine and is on MyHomeIdeas.com.
Finally, the console table below is not a dresser but it is a piece of furniture that’s been turned into a great vanity. The photo is also from BHG.
So before you throw that old dresser or table into the yard sale, take a second look. Could it be the answer to your bathroom dilemma?
