I love seeing the way artisans create their own interpretations of modern furnishings and that's just what I found at the TrebbeModern shop on Etsy, an online marketplace for handmade goods.
Check out this cool version of the modern lounger. It's so fun!
It's made of molded, sustainable Luan plywood with welded steel tubing. It has adjustable arms and headrest. And how about out those colors!
It's a great example of the TrebbeModern look -- although not everything is so colorful.
"I create mid-century inspired, modern furniture," the site says. "I hope to satisfy the need to express sophisticated tastes with thoughtfully crafted, quality furnishings. In my mind,the pairing of hard, geometric steel with soft, warm, exotic woods creates an appealing tension."
I love both the pieces below, for totally different reasons.
The Guy-Wire Bench at left is so modern but peaceful. It would fit in beautifully in almost any space. It's $445. The Multi-Unit piece at right is fun and oh so functional. It costs $880.
I also saw a great metal table that I Love.
It's a Bauhaus inspired, industrial end table with sheet metal pieces are tack-welded together to form top. The height can be adjusted. It's $190.
So check out TrebbeModern. The shop is new and the selection is small at the moment. But the pieces are fun and beautiful.
