As I've watched HGTV's Design Star this season, Los Angeles-based Lonni Paul had emerged as my favorite. I thought she was a strong designer and by far the best host, but Lonni just missed making it to the final two.
Still, a glimpse at her design website showed me that she's going to be just fine, even if she didn't win her own show.
This Hollywood Loft design was one of my favorites on her site and Lonnie gave me permission to post it.
"This young movie executive wanted a modern space with clean lines and contemporary styling," Lonnie writes on her website. "Bright, airy and open, the room is grounded with a thick shag carpet, a white leather daybed, and a dark grey flannel sofa."
Lonnie said the Rothko painting gives the room "a modern European sensibility and provides a splash of color to contrast the eco-friendly Bamboo floors and softly painted white walls."
