My good friend Kim bought this three piece, curving modern bookcase years ago and has moved it from New York to Chicago and now to the Indianapolis suburbs, all the while decorating it with a variety of vases and urns.
Now, she's ready for a change and she wants help.

Kim plans to keep the bookcases in the same room, which is a sort of combination music and computer space.
Her husband is a computer technician who previously worked in the music industry. You can see in the photos at right that the room is decorated with some of the records on which he worked. It's also the place where he stores a couple guitars.
The room -- the loft in their three-bedroom, two-story Avon home -- also has a small television where their two young sons watch a cartoon before bed.
So this is a multipurpose space, one with a very neutral color scheme.
Don't be afraid to make other decor recommendations for the room as well -- but don't forget to make the bookcases the focus of your suggestions.
