With summer in full swing, it seemed time to take a look at some cool, modern outdoor products to bring a little style to your backyard. So I sat down with my good friend Deanna and we picked out some of our favorites.
Here's all the product info:
OFFI Tiki Stools: At left, these great outdoor stools designed by Eric Pfeiffer come in six different colors and are 15.5 inches wide. Use them as stools, tables or even large game pieces in some backyard chess match. Sold for $59 each at Design Public, these stools are made from durable, molded polypropylene.
notNeutral Season Metal Lantern: This lantern (at right) from Design Public ranges in price from $50 to $180 depending on the size you choose. The largest - at more than two feet high, a foot in diameter and with five included candles - can really make a statement on your porch or patio.
Talt Low Sofa: Made by Modern Outdoor and sold at 2modern, this sleek outdoor sofa (at left) comes in six colors, including this gorgeous lime green. It's great looking but pricey! It costs $2,999 or $4,399 depending on whether you choose a stainless steel or silver powdercoat frame.
ZACK - Stainless Steel Outdoor Fire Burner Set: We were just fascinated by this three-piece pipe set (at right) with its built-in stainless steel fuel burners - no wicks needed. For about $500 from AllModern, it has an odorless and smokeless operation. The flame burns with bio-ethanol fuel, available at any local hardware store. Burning time is 2.5 hours.
Magis Chair - Sold as a set of two for $840 from 2modern, this stacking chair (see left) can be used indoors or out and comes in red, grey or white. It's a real conversation piece. The seat is made of die-cast aluminum that is treated with sputtered fluorinated titanium
and painted in polyester powder.
Sparky Fire Pit - This sleek black sheet steel woodburner (at right) from CB2 has a steel mesh cover and makes for modern conversation around the fire. Its raw finish will weather naturally.
Flower Melamine Plates - These pretty plates (at left) from Crate & Barrel give melamine a great name. Fun to mix and match, they'd look great sitting on white dinnerware. The plates cost $6.95 each.
Metro Dining Table - This handsome, small table from Crate & Barrel would look amazing with the Magis chair above. It sells for $199 and is made of carbon grey powdercoated steel. It's scaled for balconies or terraces.
