This was House #4 in the New Home Tour at the Village of West Clay and one of my favorites. The tour, sponsored by the Builders Association of Indianapolis, features nine homes in different styles by different builders and continues through Sunday.
This cottage home -- priced at nearly $580,000 -- was built by Kurt Schmadeke and decorated by JoEllen Kempler.
See more photos below:
The dining room is painted in sage and chocolate brown with some beautiful upholstered chairs. The brown paint has almost an eggplant tint while purple and lavender accessories highlight the room.
The kitchen has Aristokraft cabinetry called Durham in the company's select series. The home's chocolate brown paint continues through the kitchen.
The kitchen opens into this contemporary living room done in chocolate brown and sage with bright white woodwork. The light upholstery is highlighted by dark tables and silver accents. The view above is from the entryway.
The silver accents throughout the room lent the whole space a truly contemporary sparkle.
This was the bathroom on the home's main floor. The house was among the many on the home tour that featured bronzed fixtures.
This was a small room just inside the back door.
This was an upstairs bedroom, fashionably decorated for two girls. The photos below shows part of a Jack-and-Jill bathroom that is attached.
So what do you think? Could you live in this place?
